The St. Ann Kite Festival, also dubbed 'Jamaica International Kite Festival', is indeed a kite flying event. It is also a classical Jamaican Family Funday with fun for kids and contests for adults during the day. Day activities include a Kite competition, a dancing competition and a bun eating competition. The early evening entertainment comes in the form of a reggae stage show, just how we like it. And there’s food of course.

On Easter monday, a public holiday in Jamaica. Easter monday 2018 was april 2nd. The 2018 edition was the 15th staging of the festival. The doors open at 10 am and the stage show starts at 5pm. I'm sure there will be a 2019 edition on Easter Monday. More information when it's available.

This line-up included Tanto Blacks, Etana, I-octane, Cocoa Tea, Richie Spice and Shenseea.

The venue is Shazz entertainment center, behind the Shazz Gas Station, Richmond Estate, Priory, St. Ann parish. That’s the same estate Rebel Salute is held.
